Description:
Tenders are invited for Vietnam BSSD: development of PD Models for BSA. Strengthening banking sector supervision is part of the World Bank (WB) Technical Assistance Project (TA) on “Strengthening Banking Sector Soundness and Development” (SBSSD). Under this TA; consultancy services are sought to evaluate whether developing and introducing Probability of Default (PD) models into the State Bank of Vietnam-s (SBV) Banking Supervision Agency (BSA) toolkit would contribute to banking sector resilience and how. The consultancy services are expected to (i) carry out a feasibility study for developing and employing a PD model by the BSA; (ii) perform an international survey of the use of PD models in prudential supervision; (iii) based on the results of the feasibility study; and subject to WB approval; prepare an implementation blueprint and roadmap for developing a PD model; and (vii) subject to the WB approval; provide support to the SBV/BSA in operationalizing the PD model by integrating the model into BSA-s supervisory framework.
