Description:
UNDP Viet Nam is looking for a qualified national consulting firm to to provide comprehensive data collection, survey, and assessment services, which will serve as a basis for the Quang Ninh PPC to draft and ultimately finalize a Provincial Scheme for the sustainable development of its marine economy up to 2030, with a vision to 2045.The three primary objectives of this assignment are to: 1. Collect, review, and conduct additional surveys and assessments of the current state of resources, environment, and socioeconomic development in coastal areas; 2. Consolidate and update a comprehensive database on the current status, needs, and development orientations of marine economic sectors, culture, society, and marine environmental protection, in order to provide inputs and propose a framework for developing the Provincial Scheme; and 3. Prepare a baseline study and provide inputs to the MONRE/VASI team in response to Resolution No. 14 on establishing Quang Ninh - Hai Phong as a leading international tourism and modern marine economic centre in Southeast Asia and a driving force for regional development.
