Country: Viet Nam Description: A National NGO/national research institution/national firm to Conduct a report to assess the legal protection needs of LGBTI community in Viet Nam, with a particular focus on LGBTI couples. Duration: August 2025 to 31 December 2025. Overall objective: The study will aim to: Assess the current legal and policy landscape in Viet Nam related to the rights and protection of LGBTI individuals and couples, especially the current 2014 Law on Marriage and Family Document the lived experiences and legal challenges faced by LGBTI couples due to the absence of legal recognition and protection. Provide evidence-based recommendations for improving the legal framework and advancing equal rights for LGBTI couples in Viet Nam. The report should be able to answer the following research questions: 1. What are the current legal and policy provisions related to the rights and protection of LGBTI individuals and couples in Viet Nam, particularly under the 2014 Law on Marriage and Family, and what legal gaps remain? 2. How does the lack of legal recognition affect the lived experiences and access to family-related issues of LGBTI couples in Viet Nam 3. What legal and policy amendments can be proposed to enhance the protection, equality, and recognition of LGBTI couples in the context of the 10-year review of the 2014 Law on Marriage and Family?
