Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Consulting Services Technical Assistance for Enhancing Disaster Risk Management for Hanoi Metro Line 5. The World Bank seeks to engage the services of a consultancy for a disaster risk management (DRM) plan and measures to mitigate the potential disaster risk of the proposed Hanoi Metro Line 5 (Line 5). The technical assistance will leverage the findings and support from the ongoing and past GFDRR and Japan World Bank Program for Mainstreaming DRM in Developing Countries (Japan Program) to Vietnam. The scope of work will consist of multiple tasks that together will evaluate the pre-feasibility and develop a concept of operations for DRM. Specifically, the scope will consist of the following four (4) tasks: 1) Vulnerability Assessment for Hanoi Metro Line 5; 2) Developing Resilience Principles and Standards for Selected Sub-Systems; 3) Develop DRM-informed Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) concept; and 4) Capacity Building and Knowledge Dissemination. The Consultant should have extensive experience in planning, designing and implementing similar activities. This work is expected to begin in the first half of 2021 and completed by the end of 2022, including any necessary surveys and meetings with stakeholders in Hanoi.
